He remained with us but a few months. I cannot remember, nor can I learn from
friends, just when or why he left college. His father died in 1860, leaving him quite a
handsome property, which was still further increased soon after by reason of the death of
a brother. He was never engaged in any business at home, but went to Boston,
Massachusetts, where he became proprietor of a drug store on Church street. I have
been unable to learn any particulars of his death, except that he died at Boston, on April
23, 1868, unattended by any of his family or friends.
He was never married.
