the editor of the St. Johnsbury Times, which was published by his classmate E. L. Hovey.
He was then engaged in manufacturing interests in Waterbury and Montpelier, Vermont,
for several years. In January, 1880, he formed a connection with the Vermont Watchman
and Stale Journal, published at Montpelier, Vermont, and is at present the editor of that
paper.
He was married June 28, 1864, to Miss Mary J. Hutchins, of Waterbury, Vermont.
They have two children: Charlotte, born March 2, 1866, and Laura Livingston, born June
16, 1872.
