Cannot find record of Frances anywhere; she is believed to be a daughter of William Adair who shows up in the Carteret County, NC 1850--Frances not listed with his children, but she was probably married and living under husband's name, or perhaps deceased. Mayme Pettiford unknown William Clark unknown Illinois and Indiana First_Known_Census: Assumption of Browns, Illinois until about 1930 when she moved to Jeffersonville Indiana.. Children: Vivian Muriel, Marie Della, Ann, Edward, others unknown. All the children were born in browns, Illinois, then moved to Jeffersonville, Indiana. Mayme was so pale, that she walked into several bars, and no one knew she was African-American. Her husband was African American. May Dell Clark between 1896-1900 Illinois (?) Roy Chester Wheeler 1918-1919 Illinois Children: Roy Chester Wheeler Jr.. May died between 1928-1932 from consumption (TB). The family was enroute to California from Illinois. Do not know anything about her family, where she is from or where she is buried. Jane HICKMAN 4 Jun 1830 area now Ritchie / Doddridge County Josiah COLLINS 22 Feb 1844 West Virginia Children: John Marshall, Henry Benton, Phebe E., Clarkson, Floyd, Caroline, Anne, Martin, Gilbert, Herman, Gadd, Flora. 1870 Ritchie Co. census shows Jane age 40 as head of household living with 7 children. 1880 Ritchie Co. census lists Jane head of household, married, age 49, living with 3 youngest children and a granddaughter, Maggie KENNEDY. In 1900 Ritchie Co. census, Jane was living in the home of her son, Gadd COLLINS, and his family. In 1910 Tyler Co. census, Meade Dist., Jane H. COLLINS was listed as a widow, age 80, living in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, William T. and Anne MASTERS. She does not appear in any 1920 census record that I can find. Margaret HUDKINS 1807 prob. Harrison Co., (W)V Arthur HICKMAN, Jr. 1827 Harrison Co., (W)V West Virginia First_Census: 1850 Doddridge Co., WV. Children: Jane, Barton, Phebe, Naomi, Arthur, Sarah, Jesse, Melissa, Basal, Lewis, Loman, James, Ethelbert. 1850 Doddridge Co., WV census shows Arthur age 47, Margaret age 43 and 11 children. Their oldest 2 children were already married and living on their own. The 1860 Ritchie Co. census shows Arthur age 58, Margaret age 45 (somehow she only aged 2 yrs during that 10 yr period!) living with 7 youngest children. The 1880 Ritchie Co. census shows Arthur age 77, Margaret age 73 and daughter, Melissa age 36. Margaret supposedly died 17 Mar 1891 in Buckeye, Doddridge Co. and is buried in Salem, Harrison Co., WV however, I can't find any records for burial or a death record. .  Melinda Collins Larson MLarson101@aol.com

Lona died December 29, 1929 in Sophia, WV. She is buried in the Jessup Cemetery in Sophia. Betty was raised by a paternal aunt who had eight children of her own. Betty's father was Peter M. Woosley. Her parents names were Sarah and William Cole. There is a record of the family on the Marshall Co. WV census in 1860. Lydia Cousins 1770? Dieppe, France? Niven McVicar / Vicker 1780's Maine Children Niven/Neven, James, Alexander, John, Mary, Rebecca, Elizabeth. No census records. Lydia Cousins married Niven McVicar, probably in Maine in 1780's. Niven was a member of the 74th Highland Regiment stationed in Maine. Disbanded Regiment members arrived at St Andrews, New Brunswick Canada, May 1784. Lydia not listed with wives, but she may have arrived later, or were they married later?. Any Help much appreciated. Marina Jane was born in NC, and married Joseph in 1836 unknown location, but they went to Al., probably Marengo Co. or Butler Co., in 1837. Joseph was born in Ky., in 1806 but his father was from South Carolina., born 1785 and was in Marengo Co., Alabama, by the 1830's or maybe earlier. I have been told that Marina Jane's maiden name may have been Jefferson or McDonnall or McDonald. It is reported that she was Indian or part Indian. Jane Netta Wooten (Wooton) b. 1831 in OH. Town/county/parents unknown. Married Ananias Wilson in 1850 in St. Joseph County, IN. After Ananias died in Civil War, she went to IA. There she married Hamilton Goodpasture in Madison TWP, Polk County, IA The first census I find her is the 1880 IA Polk County census, with Hamilton Goodpasture.. I am also seeking information on her three youngest children: Julie (b 1859), John and Jane Netta (twins b 1860). IN. After their father died, their mother applied for Widow's Pension. She never mentions these children in her application. Claims the three oldest sons as the ONLY children.. What happened to the three younger children? Abigail MILLS 1800 / 1805 unknown John DRIVER 01-SEP-1825 Indiana Children: Levi, Elisha, John, Martha Jane. Abigail MILLS married John DRIVER on 01-SEP-1825 in Montgomery County, OHIO. Marriage was performed by Elder Peter Boyner. In 1826 John and Abigail (MILLS) DRIVER moved to the area of Wayne Twp, Henry County, INDIANA where they had purchased 80 acres of land on 21-JUL-1826. By 27-NOV-1835 both Abigail and John Driver were dead of Cholera - according to Henry County, Indiana Probate Record Book "A & B pg 25. They left behind four orphaned children who were taken in by the families of James DRIVER and Jacob DRIVER, both of Randolph County, Indiana. It took me 25 years to figure out and find this information, thanks to a kind Henry County, IN historian. This is all that is known about the life of Abigail MILLS. Sarah Raney (married name) about 1831 Ireland Her name on her marriage papers in Union County, KY (m. Peter Dailey, 1861) was Mrs. Sarah Raney none known Indiana Located a marriage license and bond for "Mrs. Sarah Raney" and Peter Dailey on August 19-20, 1861 in Union County, KY. They each gave their residence as Uniontown, KY. She listed it as her second marriage. She was 29 years of age. Her birthplace was listed as Ireland as was Peter's. If this is the right couple then they moved to Perry County, IN and had their family which included my grandmother Anna (Dailey) Murphy, b. 06/13/1870. Minnie Frazier abt 1874 UNK guessing Tennessee or Virginia Alvis Hatfield abt 1893 Kentucky First_Known_Census: 1900 Claiborne County TN. Children: Thomas, Charlie, Jake, Minnie. Minnie Frazier Hatfield died when her daughter Minnie was only 9 days old. She is buried in the Hatfield Cemetery at Valley Creek,  in Claiborne County TN.  . I was told that her mother also died when she was very young and that she was raised by a German couple, last name Grimes. She is said to have had a brother George Frazier.. I am guessing her to have come from either Virginia or Tennessee, possibly Mullberry Gap area or Lee County Va, since that is where my Hatfield family came from. I have been told that her mother was Rachel Partin and that she was full blooded Indian. I do not know anythingfor certain except, that she is my g grandmother and I want to know more. Katherine 1909/1910 Kentucky (probably Caldwell, Lyon, Trigg) 1st Robert Rogers/2nd Charles Brennan 1930 or 1931 Kentucky Children: Robert Rogers born 1931 or 1932. Looking for maiden name and any family information. I found a birth record for a Robert G. Rogers b. 2/1/1932 in Lyon Co., KY, but the listed mother was Kathleen Hunter (maiden name). The birth is the closest one listed to Katherine's child. She was murdered 1/29/1947 at Evansville, Vanderburg Co., IN. Newspapers listed her as Katherine Brennan, age 37, with a 15 year old son, Robert Rogers, living in Caldwell Co., KY. She had been divorced from Brennan since 8/1946. No other information was given about surving relatives. She had been living in Evansville for a few years and working as a waitress. Her body was sent to the Brown Funeral Home in Caldwell Co., KY for burial. Brown no longer exists. .  Janie geese@apex.net

I know she left Garrard Co. and moved to Il. Her first child was born in Decatur, IL. in 1909. Her parents were J.B. Lucy Roberts 1850 aprox maybe Virginia Not Known Unknown Kentucky Children: Elizabeth Judge,B 1872, William Judge, B 1873, Berry Judge B.unknown. Looking for Lucy Roberts who may have given her children up for adoption. They may have been born in Wise County Virginia. James Judge is listed as father, but I think he was not the natural father. The three children all ended up in Pulaski Co, Ky. Berry maybe a nickname for Berry Judge, no other information about him except he may have lived in Texas at one time. Elizabeth and William Died in Pulaski Co Ky. I would like more information about Lucy Roberts and James Judge, aprox. year of birth 1850 based on birth of children.
