Amanda Potentia Anderson 12-16-1872 Halland Co. SWEDEN unknown unknown PA First Census: not in US censuses for 1900 or 1910. Amanda Potentia Anderson arrived in NY from Sweden (via Liverpool) on 6-11-1888. Her passenger list entry lists her destination as "Penn." (assumed to mean "Pennsylvania"). Left Sweden for America, by herself, on 5-25-1888, at age 16 (!!). Nothing more is known about her destination. Parents names are Anders Nilsson and Johanna Beata Pettersdotter. One of her sisters, Charlotta Andersdotter (Anderson), also emigrated to US in 1888 or 1895, age 22 (1888) or 29 (1895), with an unknown destination.<br>Both sisters disappeared after arriving in the US. Neither one of them is listed in NY or PA censuses for 1900, 1910 or 1920. I'm currently looking for them in marriage indexes but it is very slow going, like finding two needles in a prairie full of haystacks. Son William B. 1721? married Sarah Long of Culpepper Co. Va. Children born moved to N.C. Son John a capt. in rev war Dobbs Co NC. After his death 1792 migrated to Roane Co. Tn. Tabitha "Finney" Boyce Early 1700s Unknown James Boyce 1745 Virginia Children: Thomas Finney; William; John; Jesse. The only record I have of Tabitha is the probating of the will of her husband, James Boyce - May 1761 in Halifax Co., VA. I have been unable to locate any records on her since that time. The family seemed to just disappear from the area but I can't find her anywhere. Three of her sons Willilam, John and Jesse all served in the Rev. War. Jesse was killed at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse and William was wounded but lived in Randolph Co., NC where he died in 1807. John was found to be paying taxes on land in Halifax Co. in 1787-1789 and then he disappeared. Any info would be appreciated..  Ida K. Boyce IdaKB@netzero.net

Children: Margaret Ann, Geneva Mamie Sue. Left 2nd husband Ritter during 1940. Found again Richmond, California 1942. Divorced and lost track of after war years. Last known to be in Phoenix, Az. Maggie and Lottie RUSSELL 1876 and 1880 Kanawha County WV Maggie married James Conner and Lottie married Isaac PRINCE Maggie 1894 Lottie 1901 West Virginia First_Census: They both appeared on the 1880 Census of Kanawha. Children: I have no further information. Maggie Russell and James Conner married in Kanawha County in 1894 and Lottie Russell married Isaac PRINCE in Kanawha County in 1901 and they seem to vanish. James Conner stated he was born in Wirt County when they applied for a marriage license. The other three were all born in Kanawha. Martha Jane BANDY 16 Aug. 1852 Bedford Co., VA. Levi Benton Wilson 1869 Colorado Children: Olive Josephine Wilson. Martha Jane marr. Levi Benton Wilson in Sidney, Fremont, IA. where there daughter Olive was b. in 1871. Moved to El Paso Co., CO. ca 1875. In July 1877 Martha deserted her husband and daughter. Parents & some siblings were residing in Clay & Lawrence Co's, MO. at this time and descendants of some claim Martha Jane visited brother Samuel in Lawrence Co. early 1900's. It is also said that she was called Aunt Jane by her nieces, married 2 or 3 times and had a daughter b. ca 1893 named Myrtle Doyle. Laurena Foote 21 Feb 1793 Newtown, Fairfield CT Nathaniel Mallory 1820 Nathaniel 1825 Children: Charlotte Mariah, Samuel? George 1823 PhiloShe was daughter of Philo Foote & Martha Hale. Her husband died the month before she gave birth to last child, Philo (6 Nov 1825) Listed in Newtown Episcopal Baptism Records Vol II as having 3 of 4 children baptized in Feb 1826. Faith Constance Choquette (Hillman) 1919 New Rochelle NY VT Adoption<br>The above is my mother......she was born CHOQUETTE but adopted by HILLMAN about 1921. I am searching for my biological CHOQUETTE family. I believe there may be "ties" in Newport VT, and I know that the CHOQUETTE relatives lived in/around New Rochelle NY area in the mid 1940's and were in Circus work, tightrope and bareback riders. I have not been able to find anything on this family (even with the wonderful assisstance of the folks at the CHOQUETTE website) We've hit a big brick wall with this one. Tabitha JOHNSON July 29, 1763 MA? Benjamin DARLING Nov. 2, 1783 Children: David, William, Reuben, Benjamin, James, Joseph. Tabitha Johnson died July 9, 1795 the same day her last son, Joseph was born. It is, of course, assumed she died in childbirth. Tabitha died in Vermont so far as I can tell. She is the daughter of my GGGrandmother, Marie Avery Clopton Jones Trotman. I only have a memory of my Great Aunt Mary to tell me the name "Drake" and probably he was also from AL. Mary Boswell 1830 Unknown Joseph Stillwell 1852 Arkansas Children: Josephine. She appears in the 1850 Arkansas census, living at the same boarding house with her future husband. His family is well documented, but she seems to have come out of nowhere. Mary Myres Cocke County Tennesse Carnes?? Her son's, John Collie Carnes, death certificate shows her birthplace as Cocke County and his father is listed as unknown. Patience Mingo Presumed to be Louisiana (Ascension Parish) Leon Vallery(Valry?) 1882 Louisiana Children: James, Norah, Ernest(Irnis). In looking at the 1900 census for Ascension Parish Louisiana, she had already died, as it stated that my G-G-Grandfather was widowed. Mary Ann Kirkpatrick 1820-1835 Tennessee or Missouri Levi Sumner 1843-46 Missouri or Kansas Children Harvey Bates Sumner, do not know names of other siblings. Harvey Bates Sumner was born in Feb. of 1847 in Macon, Macon, Mo. as I have been told. I find no records of this family in that county. They were in Neosho, Ks. at one time and also the Cedar County, Mo. area. Levi Sumner served in the Civil War and it has been said that he disappeared on the way to St. Louis, Mo. to patent a part for a steam engine. Mary Ann Kirkpatrick Sumner raised their family alone and have no idea where she is buried or where she lived when she died. Can find no record of death or burial in Cedar County, Mo. so wonder if she may have been living in Kansas at the time with or near one of her children. Anna Mo"ller 1890 Minden, Westfalen, Germany unknown 1910 Pennsylvania Anna is my Granmother's sisters. She married before WWI and came to Philadelphia. Family Lore says, the husband was a shoe manufacturer. My mother received care packages from her during WWII. It is believed she died shortly after the war. She had at least one son.
