Balsora Ellis 1803 Virginia or Georgia Hiram B. Troutman 1817/18, Baldwin Co. GA Georgia First_Census: Baldwin County Georgia, 1820. Children: Joanna E Troutman, John Fielding Troutman, Marcellus L. Troutman, Hiram Adolphus Troutman, George W. Troutman. I am trying to prove parents of Balsora. I believe that they are Fielding and Elizabeth (BETTS) ELLIS. However, her name does not appear among known list of their children. Bacause Balsora died in 1836, it is possible that she has been forgotten by the Ellis descendants. Circumstantial evidence indicates that she is linked with Fielding Ellis: her first son is John FIELDING, Fielding Ellis is found in the 1860 census in the household of Marcellus L. Troutman (his grandson?), Balsora's 4 th son is George W. as is her younger brother, and a statement found in a booklet about Joanna Troutman, stating that her grandfather was Fielding Ellis. I have not been able to obtain marriage details which would hopefully list her parents. No parents are mentioned in her obituary. She was married in Baldwin County, Georgia ..  Betty Meyer meyeroz@ozemail.com.au

Elizabeth A. Magrath Jan 31, 1888 Worcester, Mass. 1) Edward (Eddie) B. Bissell 2) ??? 1)April 15, 1908 2) ?? Indiana (and Massachusetts) Children: Walter Edward b. 2/2/1909, William Otis b.10/19/1911, MARY ELIZABETH b. 4/2/1913, all born in Mass.. Have not been able to locate a death record for Edward or a possible divorce record for Elizabeth and Edward. It is known from their oldest son, Walter that Elizabeth lived and died in Indiana. Walter lived with his maternal grandparents, Edwin J. Magrath and Mabel S. (Ball) Magrath in Worcester, Mass until he was 7 to 9 years old. We believe the reason he came to Indiana may have been the possible death of his grandfather, to live with his mother for a short time. Walter was put in the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Home at some point after coming to Indiana. No record has been found there of his stay! It is assumed that he may have been admitted under his step fathers name and we do NOT know that name. Family rumor is that Elizabeth is buried in the
Lawrenceburg (Dearborn Co.) area of Indiana and may have died around 1934. But without knowing what her last name was it has become a brick wall! It is not known if her other children were with her in Indiana, or if she had other children and what became of any of them, except Walter. .  Lynne Bissell Sasmn@aol.com
