Anna "Annie" Byers 1886 Howell CO, MO Missouri Annie Byers was the daughter of Martha Jane "Mattie" Byers and probably Baylis Byers. Both Mattie and Baylis were natives of Georgia. Annie had an affair with a school official, William Hesterly and became pregnant. Hesterly was shot by Annie's stepfather, George Bundren because he kept visiting Annie but evidently refused to marry her. I am looking for the offspring of Annie. Duplin, Sampson Co., NC. Peggy is supposedly related to the family of James Thomson and Lucy Ivey, but is not listed among their children. Billy Darden's will was probated in Sampson Co., NC. Thereafter, Peggy packed up her children and moved south. In Sumter Co., Alabama. in the 1850 census, Lauderdale Co., Ala in the 1860 census (in household of son Reddick Darden). Peggy died 20 May 1862, Lauderdale Co., Ala.
