Cox, was killed early in the Civil War out of Little Rock, Arkansas. After John Cox was killed she and her children returned to Georgia. Sometime before 1870, Almarinda and her children were sent to Ohio as refugees. Her last daughter, Flora Cox, was born 1868, Mill Creek, Hamilton Co. Ohio.
