Maude Jennie Arnold 1856 NY? Frank Emory Kelley 1882 "Pomfret, New York" "Frank and Maude(Arnold)Kelley lived on a farm in Pomfret, New York. They had five children: Belle, Harrie, Lottie, Estella(Stella) and Harvey. Maude died June 27, 1909; approx. six weeks after giving birth to Harvey. Frank was forced to give the baby up for adoption. Harvey became Homer Franklin Weaver and moved to Arlington, Virginia with his new adopted parents.

Frances A. (Fanny) Hunt 1857 Louisiana Presley R. McAllister 1873 Louisiana "Frances A. (Fanny) Hunt was born October 9, 1857 supposed to be in Louisiana.
The first record I have of her is in St. Helena Parish Louisiana marrying Presley Rucker McAllister.They had my grandmother, Lucinda and a son,Oscar.
They divorced and Frances married Scott Weagley of Iowa.
Frances death certificate says her father was Daniel Hunt born Virginia and it says her mother was Fannie Beard born Louisiana.
On later census Frances says her parents born in Louisiana. Another census says Mississippi.
My verbal information was the Hunt's were from Arkansas.
I have worked on this genealogical problem for several years. I make one step forwad and have to go back 10 steps.

Family history said that Mariette came by oxcart from PA. A census said she came from Connecticut. Most of the children stated in Census she was born in NY State. There were several Russell families in the Cortland County Area at the time of her birth, who had female children in her age bracket. They had a daughter, Frances Willard Bates. They divorced and about 1900 Maud moved to Los Angeles, California, with her daughter,her father, Nelson L. Council and her mother, Mary Elizabeth Lynch and some siblings. Maud remarried a man by the name of Benjamin A. Anderson. Frances married a man by the name of Hart. Frances had two children and two great grand children. My family has been searching for Maud and her descendants for 100 years and we have found this information only recently. Nancy Hughs 1846 Possibly Arkansas unknown unknown "Conway County, Arkansas" "The 1860 Census of Conway County, Arkansas lists my ggrandmother as Charity May, 2 month old daughter of Harry May, and his wife Elizabeth. Also listed in the household were Nancy, Margarett, and Mariah Hughs, and Mary, and Julia May. Harry went off to fight in the Civil War, and did not return as far was we know. His wife drowned trying to make it to Texas. The children were farmed out as orphans, and only two of them ever found each other that we know of; Julia and Charity. They are found next in Cherokee County, Texas in the 1880 census. We also would like to know the Hughs connection. Did Elizabeth have a previous marriage? What ever became of the other Hughs, and May girls? There was a scribbled mention in some old notes of a girl called Dink. Is this a nickname for one of the missing sisters?
