She is/was of German heritage.
Her maiden name was Bassey or Bassy, Bassi, or TeBassey, or TaBassey.
She gave up 5 children to
Social Services in 1945-46, they were after raised in foster care in the Vancouver Area. Children: Raymond, Wayne, Jack, Donna, and Jim. .
Alma had 2 or 3 more children with new husband.
Apparently he was unaware of her previous family.
Her last known residence was Kamloops or Penticton, BC. Once she was remarried, the Zorn family lost their connection with her.

My grandfather (Ed Zorn) didnot know her new name.
(I was reunited with my natural grandfather
Ed Zorn in 1986 after my Father's Death
(Raymond Young) in 1985 in Edmonton, Alberta.)
Ed was retired and living in Castlegar, BC.
My father Raymong had a difficult relationship with Ed (His father) due to the foster care.
I didnot know my father was adopted till later in my adult years.
My grandfather Ed and I regained our family ties.
Sadly My Grandfatehr Ed died in 1994 in Grandforks, BC Where he is buried.
