Photos are an important part of genealogy.  Many sites have albums of photographs.   Some of these albums have photographs that were purchased at flea markets and antique shops.  The owners are trying to identify the subjects of the photographs.  Often, you can obtain a copy of the photograph if the subject is in your line.
