Digital
Past is the digitization initiative of the North Suburban Library
System in Wheeling IL. Digital Past houses over 90,000 images (and
growing daily) from around 40 cultural institutions in (mostly) northern
Illinois. Most of our participants are public libraries who are either
making their own local history collections available online or working
with their local historical society to mount theirs. We have diaries,
photos, biographies, maps, etc available freely to the public through
our site. We're quite popular with genealogists and others with an
interest in the area.
The Genealogy Bin The Genealogy Bin has a lot of self-published books listed they include, Marriage
Records, Land Records, "Publick" Claim Records, Census, and a lot of different
books. There is also a great link page. Please come by and check it out. It is being
updated all the time.
Partial
Index to Tennessee Death Records 1914-1925 Tennessee
birth and death registration officially began in 1908, but it was not
until 1914 that the death certificate form included such genealogically
important information as the person's date and place of birth, and
parents' names.
The
ShipsList TheShipsList was established to assist those
seeking information on the vessels which brought their ancestors to their
new home, be that the United States, Canada, Australia, or other parts of
the world. Ships' passenger lists, fleet lists, ship descriptions,
schedules, wreck data, voyage accounts, and other information which is not
readily available elsewhere, has been collected, along with resource links
to related websites.
