Born in Wisconsin in 1869;
attended district school; taught district school and at the age of 22
graduated from State Normal School at Platteville, Wis., and later from the
University of Wisconsin; took post-graduate work at Yale University.
Principal at Tower, Minn.,
and at Nelson Dewey High School, Superior, Wis., Superintendent at
Waterville, Minn.; Little Falls, Minn., and Winona, Minn. Has
done institute work in Wisconsin and Minnesota seven summers.
Has been President of three educational associations, Interstate of
Lake Superior, Northern Minnesota and Southeastern Minnesota, and
frequently appeared on the programs of both state and national
associations.
Author of "The
National Speller".
