Italian Genealogical Group
The Italian Genealogical Group is an organization dedicated to furthering Italian family history. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of every month from September to June. In the Spring of each year the IGG also hosts an All-Day Seminar in which nationally and internationally known speakers are invited to speak. In addition, we publish a newsletter 10 times a year that contains articles to help you with your research. A database is maintained of the surnames and areas in Italy that our members are researching. A revised edition is published once each year.
New members also receive a very useful packet of information pertaining to Italian and general genealogy. At each meeting we have a speaker who
is knowledgeable about some aspect of Italian or general genealogy. While you may not be able to attend meetings, you will find detailed coverage of a meeting in the newsletter following the meeting. Although those that attend our meetings are from the New York City metropolitan area, our membership is world-wide.

Society for German Genealogy in
Eastern Europe
The SGGEE web page is devoted to the study of those
people with German ancestry (generally of the Lutheran, Baptist, or Catholic faiths) who
lived in present-day Poland (including those lands known previously as West and East
Prussia, Posen, Silesia, and Pomerania), and also those people who lived in the western
part of present-day Ukraine, in the old pre-World War II province of Volhynia (generally
from the city of Kiev on the east to the present-day Polish border on the west, and from
the city of Zhitomir on the south to the city of Kowel on the north).
To those throughout the world who are now looking for traces of their ancestors, the task
of finding records of them in places with strange sounding names is a formidable one. If
you have knowledge that your ancestors lived for even a short time in one of the lands
noted above, then this web site, and the Society that supports it, will be of interest to
you. It is the goal of SGGEE to create, in one place, databases of every known
genealogical record of our ancestors while they lived in the lands noted above. In
order to help you connect what you know about your ancestors to the data in the lands
noted above, this site will combine databases compiled from original records from the
lands noted above with: maps and village lists; ship passenger lists; member supplied
pedigree charts from descendants of these people who are now in all countries in the
world; local history books from areas where our study area people moved to; and generally
any other data that we find that will help in connecting you to your ancestors.
Germans from Russia, Alberta Chapter

The Swedish Finn Historical Society
was founded in 1991 by a small group of descendants of Swedish speaking Finns (Finlandssvenskar) interested in preserving the cultural heritage of our families who
immigrated to North America. Its mission is to collect and preserve in one central location all appropriate historical and genealogical materials pertaining to this ethnic group and to make them available for interpretive, educational and research purposes. It is the only organization of its kind in North America and draws its membership from over half the states, Canada, Finland, Sweden and numerous other countries around the world.
