The Lucas County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society was founded to
help preserve local history and genealogy and to encourage interest in genealogy
by providing speakers and to assist in this research.

The Windham Historical Society is
located in the "Brick Chapel" on Main St., Windham, Ohio. We
were just founded in September of 2002, and are beginning to collect and
showcase our unique history. We have 50 Charter members, and adding members regularly. We cover all of Windham Village and Windham Township.
We have many yearbooks, scrapbooks, old newspaper articles, pictures,
books, artifacts, and much, much more. We are presently making a
library of video tapes of interviews of the elderly and very knowledgeable
residents of the community. We would be more than happy to answer, to the
best of our ability, any questions or provide any information which you
may be inquiring about. We are accepting photo's (dated and identified),
and other information pertaining to the history of Windham, and its
residents. If you become a member we will be sending out bimonthly
newsletters through Email, to keep you posted as to what is going on in
Winhdam, regarding the Society. Presently we do not have an Email address,
but we will be having one shortly. Any correspondence can be sent to the
Society at the above address. Thank you and looking forward to hearing
