Indian Territory Genealogical and Historical Society 
Local society in Tahlequah, OK. We research the Dawes Roll, have publications available, and conduct monthly programs and field trips dealing with local genealogy and history.  We also have a research room located in the Northeastern Oklahoma State University Library

Friendship History Group
The Friendship History Group was organized to document and preserve the history of the Friendship Community in Jackson County, Oklahoma.  Projects include its book "The Early Day Friendship Area" and historical markers commemorating the Friendship Community and the Western Cattle Trail.  The marker project was funded by book sales and matching funds from members of the group.  "The Early Day Friendship Area," which can be found in the collections of various schools, museums, libraries, historical organizations and the LDS, can be ordered for $12.00 or $14.50 if mailed.  All proceeds are dedicated to future historical projects in the Friendship Community. 

Broken Arrow Genealogical Society  
Broken Arrow Genealogical Society was formed in 1976 to assist those who are researching ancestors and to preserve our history. Our library also includes many materials from other states and an extensive Civil War library collection.

Pittsburg County Genealogical & Historical Society   
The Pittsburg County Genealogical and Historical Society, Inc., is located in the old Busby Office Building. The building was built in 1903 by the Great Western Coal and Coke Company. It was placed on the National Register of Historical Places on 9 December 1979. Elmer "Bud" Hale, Jr. donated the building to the City of McAlester on 18 March 1987 for the specific purpose of housing the Society

Southwest Oklahoma Genealogical Society is a non-profit tax-exempt organization which was chartered in 1976. The society is located in Lawton (Comanche County), OK and covers the counties of Beckham, Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Jefferson, Kiowa, Stephens, Tillman and Washita.

The Tulsa Genealogical Society 
The Tulsa Genealogical Society (TGS) was established in 1965 for Tulsa County researchers and for those interested in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. The TGS Library is located at 9136 E. 31st Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. TGS has over 7000 items in books, computers link to internet for research, microfilm and CD-roms. Their annual October Workshop, host to nationally recognized genealogical speakers, has been popular since its inception in 1989. Their journal, the Tulsa Annals, is published three times a year. Visit the society's web site to learn about the TGS Library, local research facilities, and society events, and to search their index to local funeral home records dating from the 1909 to the 1988. The web site also contains information about their research committee, their monthly educational events; TGS Genealogy Competition; their publications (such as voter registrations, marriage indexes, funeral home indexes), as well as membership and other contact information.

WTGS actively promotes the study of Old Greer County Texas. There are family histories of the dirt farmers, business men, cowboys and ranchers, who moved into Old Greer Greer County during the 1880's, to graze the free grass, plow the land, build the towns, businesses and communities to tame this wild prairie.  Include SASE or Email address.
